In this episode, I share what's been on my mind after taking a short break from the podcast. We dive into why sustainable transformation doesn't happen through massive leaps—it happens through small, intentional choices repeated over time. I talk about my evolving approach to health coaching, why I've shifted from promoting perfection to progress, and how one simple habit can become the catalyst for an entirely new life.

I also open up about our upcoming move to Las Terrenas in the Dominican Republic, why we're choosing to leave the American rat race behind, and how living in alignment has completely changed the way I view health, work, relationships, and success.

We also explore:

  • Why fruit and hydration are foundational to health
  • The hidden burden of processed foods, coffee, and chronic stress
  • How your environment shapes your energy and awareness
  • Why AI and modern technology can disconnect us from our creativity
  • The importance of understanding the why behind lifestyle changes
  • How removing toxicity from your life goes far beyond food
  • Why creating space is the first step toward receiving something better

If you've been feeling overwhelmed by trying to "fix" your life all at once, this conversation is a reminder that lasting transformation begins with one conscious choice.

Peace, love, and light. ✌️

Why Healing Is a Journey, Not a Destination

SPEAKER_00

Peace, love, and light, everybody. It's a uh an amazing day, and it I feel good because it's been a while. Um, and there's a reason behind that. You know, uh I lost my voice for a little bit, so it was obviously tough for me to podcast. Um, but I'm back and um here to you know share what's going on in my world. And I love sharing it with you because I just consider this a very intimate process, uh, this podcasting. It's very therapeutic for somebody like me who is continuously trying to shed light and share light with the world about natural health and natural diet and and living in alignment and and using my life as a barometer and also an example to kind of help share these philosophies and whatnot. So when I don't get the opportunity to podcast, it's difficult. You know what I mean? Because um it is something that is important to me. Um, and I know it's important to you. And as I've continued to coach and I've continued to try and help people, um just so many, I learned so many different things about being a health coach, about being a lifestyle coach. Um mostly that, you know, what I talk about and and what I profess, you know, is something that a small percentage of people have either been taught or or even practiced, you know. So like I'm putting out a message to a world that's not really tuned into it yet. And then when they hear it based on their current conditioning, um, it can sometimes seem outrageous or seem outlandish. And what's crazy is like I am talking about eating fruit, you know, be making fruit the foundation of your diet. You know, I'm not trying to turn people into fruitarians. If the if I'm not even a full fruitarian yet, um, I'm just trying to educate people and help people and help them understand the importance of eating fruit and and having that hydration and what that can do for your body and what the correlation with that to a healthy body truly is, because nobody's teaching that. You know, that that's not taught in school, it's not what you see on TV, it's not what you see when you watch, you know, ER or one

Small Changes Create Lasting Results

SPEAKER_00

of those uh Gray's Anatomy or one of these newer um, you know, hospital or medical shows and whatnot, and there's Jackie, nothing, you know, you you don't see that. Uh, you see the other side of it, you see the conventional side of it. And um, by trying to share what people consider alternative medicine, or I I hate to even use the word medicine, alternative health, um, it's difficult. You know what I mean? It's difficult because it falls upon deaf ears a lot, you know, mainly because we've just been conditioned so much to think that we need all of these things to help us be healthy. We need a a certain, you know, a massive amount of protein, we need to make sure we get our fats. We have to stay away from all sugars and you know, we need to make sure we're getting all these different micronutrients, right? All this different propaganda and things that are really uh pushed and sponsored by corporations that are pushing products. And when I say products, I'm not just talking supplements, I'm talking everything. I'm talking, you know, you know, foods to, you know, whether it be foods or vitamins or or this type of food or that type of food or this restaurant or you know, this diet or whatever the case may be, like they're all pushing something to try to heal you and fix you from the outside. And you know, when you truly understand the by uh from a biological standpoint and a physiological standpoint, you know, you heal from the inside, you don't heal from anything from the outside. It's based on the conditions that you put yourself in. So, you know, and maybe I'm venting a little bit, you know, uh, because you know, for someone who's done this for a few years now, you know, specifically with natural health and diet, um, I see it just a continuous cycle. Uh I'm starting to find more people that are in this lane, but it is still a small amount. And I do see a lot more people being interested in the concept of eating more fruit, eating more raw foods, uh, even going plant-based, right? Um, but it that's kind of where it stops. Like the interest is there, they might try it for a second and then they end up falling back, which I totally get. It's not easy. It's not easy. You know, I think that's where coaching truly comes in. And I have learned as a coach too, I have learned that, you know, you can't expect uh, you know, someone who's dealt with this type of conditioning and programming to make these sustainable changes, you know, with big leaps. You know, that's why I try to, I've tried to incorporate more incremental steps. You know what I'm saying? Like, and I'm not as heavy with pushing the all fruit and and the fruitarian diet as I once was. It's more along the lines of, okay, let's let's take some incremental steps. Let's at least, at least get to the point where we're giving up, where we are removing alcohol from our from our uh our dietary habits, where we're removing coffee or at least

Why Most Diets Don't Last

SPEAKER_00

lessening the coffee, and we're, you know, uh reducing the amount of meat, right? And then we could take the next step to being plant-based, right? And start removing some of the other things and you know, ultimately seeing the results of what a change in that type of lifestyle will actually do. You know what I'm saying? So I think that's that's kind of where I'm starting to see things with a bigger scope and understanding that, you know, trying to focus on a small individual, uh, individual pool of people, you know, just really isn't sustainable. You know, for me and and my business and and my brand and whatnot, I know that now I have to kind of open myself up to, you know, just some more basic elementary type of changes, you know, because it's it's just not easy. I mean, even myself, I mean, what nine years ago, I started out with just becoming vegetarian, right? And that was a big leap for me. So now kind of looking at things on the other side of it, it's like, and I understand, I get it, I know it's not easy for you. You know, I um I just finished an ebook or I released an e-book called Eliminate Coffee Naturally. And it's actually pretty a pretty significant project for myself because I made this ebook based on my own personal experience because I gave up coffee cold turkey about four or five years ago. I can't remember the exact date. I probably should have written the date down, but I did it. Um, and I did it cold turkey. You know, I didn't adjust, I didn't do a transition. I literally was drinking coffee every single day, and then one day I just said, you know what, I'm done, and I stopped and I never looked back. And my experience was a rough one because I went through a just a very, very deep and tough detox. Seven days of just inflammation, and my joints were in pain, and I had headaches, and it was it was very tough. It was the worst detox that I've had, you know, at least since I've started making changes to my diet. And, you know, it's it's one thing that I always remember. So when creating this ebook, I kept that in mind. I was like, you know what, I want to help people eliminate coffee incrementally, transitionally, you know, seamlessly. Because I'm an anomaly, and this usually doesn't work for me. I'm not usually a cold turkey kind of person. My wife, on the other hand, is she's cold turkey all day. Like you tell her one thing, she'll start

The Hidden Programming Behind Modern Health

SPEAKER_00

tomorrow when she's on it. That's just how she works. Not me. Usually it's something I need to transition to. For this, for some weird reason with coffee, it worked for me. But I know for most that's not how it works. So I wanted to create something that can help people eliminate it incrementally, you know, go through a four-week plan of slowly transitioning off of coffee because that's how you create sustainable habits. That is how you truly change your lifestyle. Um, and that's kind of the outlook for a lot of what I profess now and what I'm trying to showcase out there is, you know, look, we all want to be healthier, we all want to make changes, we all want to fix some of our bad habits. But you got to stick with one thing at a time and you got to do it incrementally. And I've you I know I've used this analogy before, and I want to give a shout-out to Keith Crowder because he is the one mindset coach, he's the one that really instilled this in me. Was that like, look, when you make one change, when you focus on one change, you're successful somewhere around 75 to 80% of the time. When you try to make two changes at the same time, that number drops to like 25%, and then so on and so on. So if you're trying to make all these changes at once, most likely you're not going to be successful. The main thing is to focus on one thing, you know, and while it may be tough, right, from an ego standpoint and and a timeline standpoint, because unfortunately, because of the world, society, we constantly are in a rush. We're always trying to fix everything immediately. We have that microwave, you know, mentality. So making one little change, you know, might seem like minor. Like it might not be a big success to you. But the truth is, like, that is the building block, the foundation of making true change. Because not everything is going to be done overnight. The problem is that most of us are in a place where we know we're severely unhealthy. And I'm not just talking physically. I mean, we're I'm talking physically, mentally, emotionally, even spiritually in some sense. So we're trying to do so much at once. You know, we're trying to meditate more, we're trying to get outside more, we're trying to work out more, we're trying to eat better, we're trying to have better relationships,

Escaping the Rat Race—Inside and Out

SPEAKER_00

all these different things at once. And when you're focusing on all those things at once, it's very, very difficult for you to achieve anything because you're not putting all your energy in one place. You're you're scattering it all over the place. And whenever you do that, you're not going to get, you know, the full version of you within it. So, you know, that's that's what I say. You got to focus on one thing. And I've learned that as a coach, you know, is to help people by starting with one thing. And it don't matter what that one thing is, because look, I mean, we all have changes that we, you know, that we need to make, truthfully and honestly. Um, you know, I mean, giving up, you know, I look at my timeline, you know, started off by giving up meat, right? But I still had other issues. I still drank, I still drank coffee, I still ate cheese, I still ate tons of processed foods. I was eating tons of meat replacements, right? Like, because that was a part of my transition. But incrementally, I started to eliminate things. Not all at once, just incrementally started to eliminate things. And that has been, you know, instrumental in my progress. And look, I still have progress. And wherever you are in your journey, you're still gonna have some more progress because look, it's not just about the physical body at the same time, it's it's about the mental aspect, the emotional aspect, the spiritual aspect. I mean, how many, I mean, you're telling me you're not dealing with any type of anxiety right now? You're not dealing with any type of stress right now? Especially if you live in America. Like, it's like when you live in America, in today's society, yeah, it's impaired. I mean, it's like in stone that you got some form of stress going on. Because that's just the way of the world. Like, that is the life that unfortunately we've kind of been brought into. If you think about it, I mean, you look at all the systems that are in place right now, and you ask yourself, like, what like what am I doing from the medical system that is corrupt as fuck, from the political system that is beyond corrupt and does nothing but divide us, right? From uh from a financial system that is that robs us every single day. Now, some people might combat me and say, well, you know, it's it's free market capitalism. Like you have the opportunity to make as much money as you want. Well, well, I mean, do you? I mean, do you really? Yeah, I could have invested in Bitcoin when it first came out, and I could be a multimillionaire if not a billionaire right now. Okay, yeah. Is that possible? Does America make that possible?

Why We're Leaving the United States

SPEAKER_00

Of course. Yes, it does. But I mean, what percentage of people really do that? Like, let's keep it real. To live in America, like you are you are going to be a part of a rat race because you are merely a resource. Therefore, like you are going to have to work extra hard, put extra time, put extra energy in whatever you're doing in order to maintain a certain type of American lifestyle. That's not everybody, but that's the majority. And remember, the majority is all that counts because that's who I'm talking to. I'm talking to you, and you are a part of the majority. You know, people ask me constantly, like, man, like what made you want to move out of the United States? What made you want to, you know, and and I just tell them, I said, look, I want to live a life that is number one in alignment with who I am as far as from a value standpoint, but really, I want to get out the rat race. Like, to be able to have a natural health and lifestyle brand like me, and try to maintain a life in America with kids and with pets and with a wife, you know what I'm saying? Is it's tough. Like, you're going to be a part of the rat race. It's going to be tough to maintain. Like, you can do it, but you're going to be stressed. You're going to have anxiety. It's going to be, you know, ups and downs, right? It's going to be a constant grind. You're going to have to do it for pretty much a very long time of your life, a big span of your life. So I don't want nothing to do with that. So I was like, you know what? I'll find a place where the values are more in alignment with what I care about, where there is really no rat race, where the cost of living is far cheaper. And the things that I might miss out on are not really things I care about. That's why I'm leaving America. Not to knock America, not saying America isn't a decent place to be, but I think we've I think we've all been raised to think that America is the only

Is AI Making Us Less Human?

SPEAKER_00

place to be, to where we're so entitled to think that, you know, our country is better than everybody else. And if you leave here, you're gonna regret it. You know, I I think once you actually leave the country and you talk to people that live in other countries, you start to realize that that's totally not the case at all. And they they they laugh at us sometimes for for that entitlement. You know what I mean? Even that even with the World Cup, like World Cup's going on right now has been fantastic. You know, America did decent, they got to the you know, to the to the round of 16 and they lost, and you know, people are up in arms about it, you know. But look, America can't win everything, right? They're not the best at everything. Let's not expect them to be better than other countries that put a lot more energy and resources and time into that particular sport, but that's the American mindset. It's like, oh, if we're in it, we should be winning. And if we don't win, then you know, I'm not gonna watch this anymore, or I don't want to be a part of this, or we don't need to be a part of this. No, it's that that's that's that American mindset, you know, and it's something that I had to shift, that's that I've had to start to shift as we prepare to make our move to the Dominican Republic, because I can't go there with America with an American mindset. No, I have to shift my mindset, and I have to have a very open and free mind to know that when I go there, that I am um in a sense ignorant to the culture and be ready to absorb that culture and learn from it and build off of it. You know what I'm saying? Like I can't go there with my American mind and think I'm gonna be successful. No, not at all. But I'm open to that. You know, I I'm not I'm not too entitled and egotistic to think that I'm gonna go there as me currently in this version and and just live my days out over there like that. No. But yeah, I mean that's the that's that's the reason. And I I just see the way we're trending as people, you know, especially with this whole AI, this massive AI push that's coming out, and we're just becoming less and less dependent on ourselves, and that is going to cause a litany of issues from a health perspective. It truly is. Because look, like we're creative beings. Even if you don't think you're creative, you are extremely creative. You just haven't been able to tap into it because of all the conditionings, conditioning that you've gone through, and and basically the environment that you've lived in. But we are creative beings, like we have the ability to tap into an energy that that you know can change the world as it

Reconnecting Mind, Body & Spirit

SPEAKER_00

is today, but we're just not able to do it because of so many different reasons. I always start with the diet because like you are a conduit, you're an energetic being, you're a conduit to electromagnetic energy. And when you're eating foods that are not in alignment with your body consistently, and we're talking years upon years, your ability to connect is is not going to be the same. Like your body is working so hard just to maintain itself. We talk about the rat race of America. We need to start talking about the rat race of your body. When you're eating all the processed foods and the meats and the refined sugars and starches and majority cooked foods, and then alcohol, you had alcohol on top of that, and smoking if you're a smoker, and coffee, all these different things. And we're eating way too much. Our body is constantly, constantly, constantly utilizing the electromagnetic vital energy that we do have just to maintain, just to stay afloat. And you'll notice this is the greatest thing about you know, the the coaching aspect from my perspective, you will notice that once you start making some of these changes, just incremental small changes, your awareness picks up tremendously. Your ability to tap into your body's intelligence expands tremendously. And it's such it's you want to talk about awakening, it is a massive awakening. So as you clean out your body, you hydrate your body, and you start ridding your body of all of the toxic elements and over-acidity within your body, you will notice that you connect better, that you tap into aspects of your creativity that you didn't even know existed. You know, from a chakra perspective, the chakras line up with the endocrine system. And your endocrine system is basically the system that is in charge of your hormones and creating the specific hormones and chemistry within your body to balance you out. And when that's out of whack,

The Truth About Ozempic and Quick Fixes

SPEAKER_00

guess what? Energetically, you're out of whack. And that's truly what we're dealing with as a people. It's all connected. Mind, body, spirit. It's all connected. Mind, body, soul. You know, that's why your thyroid and parathyroid are so imperative when it comes to your mental health. That's why your adrenal glands are so imperative when it comes to your mental health as well. You drink coffee all the time. Guess what? You're going to be in fight or flight mode all the time. What do you think that does to your body from an energetic level? From a fatigue level. All these things matter. All of these things matter. So, like as we continue to put less effort in a lot of the things that we do, as we're utilizing, hey, look, I'm not going to sit here and say I don't use AI. I created an AI tool, the eat cheat code, right? Custom GPT, right? But I did it with the intention of helping people, you know, who needed quick answers about what's truly going on within their body. Like that's the that's the main purpose of it. But people are using AI, and it's not just, I, and I can't really blame people. I mean, it's just the way of society now because AI is integrated in damn near everything. So you don't have to think anymore. You don't have to think about your social media posts. You don't have to think about your uh emails anymore. You don't have to think about, you know, uh creating something on Canva or Photoshop anymore. AI does it all for you. You don't even have to make your own videos anymore. AI will do it for you. And does that save time? Is it convenient? Oh, definitely. But what are we losing in the process? You know, social media has really hurt our ability to communicate with each other. AI is really hurting our ability to tap into our creative nature. You know, for someone like me, and I and I catch myself because I've fallen into those traps before. And that's one of the main reasons I wrote I created the blog. Because I didn't want to lose my ability to write. You know, I'm I'm you know, I'm I may be writing a follow-up book to

Becoming the Person You're Meant to Be

SPEAKER_00

detox yourself, and I didn't want to lose that ability. So, you know what I said? I'm gonna challenge myself to blog every week. So I'm writing myself. I'm not using AI, I'm not doing anything. I'm I'm literally the thoughts that come out of my mind, I'm putting them on quote unquote paper, and um, and I'm gonna publish it every single week. It's another reason I wanted to continue podcasting because it just keeps me fresh. It's training. If you don't use it, you lose it. Same thing, it's it's the same thing as exercise. You got to exercise your mind. AI is taking that away from us. It's the same reason why people are so quick to jump on these health fads, whether that be some type of supplement or some type of machine that's going to help you gain muscle or lose weight, or you know, uh, instead of exercising, you're gonna do this, right? Everybody's looking for the easy way out. And look, I get it. Exercise is at least for me, it's you know, it's not something that is super, you know, super exciting. So for some people it is. I mean, some people they can't wait to get in the gym. You know, my my brother's like that. He loves, I mean, it's kind of one of the most, you know, happy times for him is when he's in the gym. Me, not me, not me. I'm not a workout warrior, never have been. But most people are in that vein. Like most people aren't like that. And they look for these easy ways out when all you really got to do is move your body, continuously move your body. And unfortunately, with all technology and the way of the world and society, we stop moving our body. We're in front of our phone for hours upon hours a day, or we're watching TV hours upon hours a day, or we're sitting at a desk on the computer hours upon hours a day. The world has become automated. Right? So, you know, it's just imperative that we continue to work on these things. And from a dietary standpoint, it's the same thing. I mean, people that want to lose weight now they're looking to the GLPs and Ozempic, and and now you got stars and you know, uh athletes and actors and actresses utilizing this. And you know how our society is, everything's about idol worship. So they see Charles Barclay do it, or they see somebody else do it, um, and and they see the um the results of it, and all of a sudden they want to follow in line instead of doing the work. Because the Ozempic, the GLP, yeah, you're gonna lose weight quick, but the ramifications that come along with that, the side effects, the byproduct of going that route is just disastrous for your health. These are manipulations

Progress Over Perfection

SPEAKER_00

of the body. And whenever you manipulate the body, the body stops producing what it normally would because it's relying on that manipulation. And that manipulation is going to have chemical effects within your body, toxicity within your body, over acidity within your body that will ultimately come to pass in the form of breaking down tissue and causing dis-ease. Plain and simple. There's no getting around that. But if you take pride in your body, right? Remember, your body is your temple, it's the foundation of your physical being. Take pride in it, take pride in what you're putting inside of it. These things will happen naturally. And some of the byproducts that come along with that, like, I can't even describe because it's different for everybody. But your awareness will grow, your intelligence will grow, your creativity will grow, your frequency will heighten. Therefore, you know, people talk about having bad luck and bad things always happen to them. It's because they're on that frequency. But you start shifting your diet, you start shifting your lifestyle, you start cleaning yourself out and being that conduit, and all of a sudden you're gonna start attracting more of the things that you want, more of the things that you align with. And you really get to truly figure out who you are. Because right now, you don't know who you are. You

Why Accountability Changes Everything

SPEAKER_00

think you know who you are, you might know who you want to be. But there's so many things that are getting in the way of that that are blocking that, that you may never get the opportunity to truly be your best, the best version of yourself. It just starts with these small steps, you know, small steps, focus on that one thing, you know, focus on that one thing. You know, I um have a tendency to be a well my wife likes to call a call it a recovering perfectionist. Um because I've been on this this fruit-based journey for a few years, and I've constantly went back and forth on, you know, getting, you know, becoming 100% raw fruitarian and you know, um kind of taking a step forward and a step back here and there, you know, to where that I'm you know, I'm right around that 80% uh fruit-based diet, and and the rest is is um plant-based cooked, right? And I beat myself up sometimes when I have, you know, weeks or days or something where I eat worse than I should, you know, and I kind of break my own rule of telling people to give yourself grace because you know, look where I was five years ago. Look where you were a year ago, two years ago, five years ago. You have to appreciate and sell and celebrate the wins, especially when it comes to health and when it comes to living in alignment. You gotta celebrate those wins. Because if you don't, then you're not appreciating the journey. Now, look, if you are dealing with some type of major chronic health issue, then you know, all bets are off, things change. Yeah, you may

Building Our Mindful Community in Las Terrenas

SPEAKER_00

need to ramp it up a little bit per se. But if we're talking about changing lifestyle, we're talking about changing habits, give yourself grace. You know, understand that things aren't gonna change overnight. But in the totality of it, where are you? Right? You might have three bad days in a row, but what does your month look like? You know what I'm saying? And that's what I try to tell myself. You know, um, I might have a few bad days, might have a bad week, but what does my month look like? And I keep track of that stuff. And I think it's important, you know, when I work with you, when I when I, you know, have my coaching sessions, it's important. And that's why, you know, I'm not trying to make this a plug or anything, but like that's why to me coaching is so important because you have someone to hold you accountable, but also see the things you're not seeing and be able to make adjustments and be able to provide the why. Not just the what, not just the how, but the why. Because if you don't understand how a diet or a lifestyle change is actually helping you, then what are you really doing? You're not going to, you're not gonna put a lot of value in it. You might see results and put value in the results, but what happens when the results slow down? Because most people that start implementing more fruits and hydration into their diet, they're gonna lose weight pretty quick, mainly because they're losing a lot of water weight, because your body holds water when it's eating an abundance of salt and cooked foods and things of that nature. Um, so you're gonna lose a lot of that, but then you're going to get to that sustainable, you know, uh weight, where it's not gonna change dramatically. It might change a little bit here and there, but it's not really going to go anywhere. What are you gonna do then when the result, if your results are based on uh, I'm sorry, when your value is based on results and you don't understand the why and what's truly going on, then yeah, once those results halt, guess what you're gonna do? You're gonna go back to what you were doing before. So you got to understand the why. You gotta understand why eating a more hydrating diet is going to help me from a health perspective. You gotta understand why eating more fruits is imperative to me healing whatever issue I'm dealing with. That's why it's important, you know? But I told you it's gonna be a little bit of an event session. I haven't been on the mic in a while, and I and I and I wanted to share all this, of course. Um, but I mean, look, we're in the process of getting our house ready to sell, and uh that in itself has been a tumultuous process. Like I didn't like I've sold houses before, but for some reason, this particular one has been the most difficult. And not to sell it, but just to get it ready to sell. Um, there's just so much going on. But it is imperative for us. You know, we're looking to leave uh and move to the Las Terenas area in Dominican Republic, roughly around April, May of 27. So that's a little bit less than a year, right? And you know how fast time goes, so it's gonna be here. And in the process, you know, we're trying to put the foundation together to build a mindful community in Las Arenas, uh, to where we can, you know, build a community of like-minded people that are looking to be better versions of themselves, you know, from a physical, from a mental, from a uh a spiritual standpoint, body, mind, and soul, you know, and so we're putting all that together. Uh, I'm I'm currently in the process of getting my meditation uh teaching certification. Uh, Dee, who's my wife's best friend, she's coming with us. She is uh in the process of becoming a certified yoga teacher. Uh, me and my wife are both Reiki too, so we're gonna be able to offer that. I'm a certified detoxification specialist, so I'm gonna be doing my health coaching there. So just kind of bringing a what we would consider a wave, no pun intended, to the

How Intuition Led Us to Our New Home

SPEAKER_00

island um of like-minded stuff. You know, we're we're excited to to collaborate with people out there and whatnot. We might even open up a little uh fruit smoothie and juice cafe type of thing. So all things, all things on deck, right? All ideas on deck. So we're in the process of doing that. And you know, people ask me why Las Terenas. Um and a year ago, I never I don't even know if I if I knew Las Terenas existed. So, I mean, the reason the reason we ended up in Las Tedenas was kind of a what I would call a a very um intuitive journey because we're originally gonna go to Dominican Republic and visit a place called Cabrera, right? And Cabrera is beautiful. Like we actually went there the last time we were we went to Las Tenenas, which was uh what almost two months ago. We drove to Cabrera, checked it out. It's a beautiful little town, beautiful little town, but that's originally where we were gonna go. But we like to do like extensive research on the places and you know doing research, we just couldn't find a lot about Cabrera. I didn't feel like the infrastructure was what I was looking for in a town. Um it just didn't have enough for me. So we said, oh, you know what? Maybe we should skip Cabrera and let's go to Ruatan in Honduras, right? So we booked our flights, changed everything to go to Honduras, and you know, we're in the process of trying to find out where we're gonna stay in Honduras. Uh, like what I'm sorry, in Roatan, uh, trying to find like a house or whatever the case may be. And um we never really settled on anything. We had a couple of places, but all of a sudden they issued some some health some health restrictions, uh, basically saying you have to have you have to uh what what what vaccine was it? It was a vaccine my daughter never had, um, obviously. And um obviously we weren't gonna go through with that. So we reached out to the Airbnb that we did book, we let

Breaking Free from Society's Blueprint

SPEAKER_00

them know I said, hey, they got this restriction saying my daughter would have to have this vaccine, and we ain't about that life. So we're gonna have to cancel. So, you know, we cancel that, and then we're like, okay, well, where are we gonna go? Like, we got the time booked off, this, that, and the other. Well, let's just go back to Dominican Republic. Let's just go stay in Punta Cana. And there's a couple cities that are close to Punta Cana, um, Dominicus and uh by EBA that we were we kind of watched some videos on we were interested in. So we go, we booked that, and you know, do it during the research, Las Tenenas keeps coming up. Like, you know, I'm putting, you know, I'm I'm searching like kind of what we're looking for, the vibe we're looking for, the energy we're looking for, and Las Tenenas keeps coming up, but it's like four and a half hours away from Puticana. And everybody, all these Facebook groups and people are telling us you're crazy if you drive, you know, in Dominican Republic, they don't know how to drive, it's dangerous, this, that, and the other. You need to get a driver. And I'm like, man, I'm not paying for no driver for four and a half hours. I mean, that's that's that's some money, right? So, you know, I bring up the idea to my wife. I'm like, hey, why don't we, you know, we're going for a week, why don't we stay a couple days in Punta Cana and then drive to Las Terenas, you know, we'll get to see a majority of the country. Stay in Las Terenas for, you know, three, four nights, and then come back and we'll check out Baibe on the way back and then and back to Punta Cana and fly out. So we decided on that. And man, it's the best decision we ever made. And it was intuitively guided. You know, it wasn't anything but me and and my wife being able to tap into that creativity because we didn't even really know anything about Las Terenas at all. Like we were putting our energy pretty much in Punta Cana and Baibe. But then we did it, we did that drive, the drive was amazing, and when we got to Las Terenas, like it like this energy just kind of enveloped us, and we knew. I mean, we knew in that moment that this is this is gonna be the place, and that's tough for me because I was sold, sold on St. Croix. Like St. Croix is a beautiful place. You want to talk about like living in alignment, and and to this day, I still think it has the best plant-based food on the planet. I haven't been to Jamaica yet. I heard Jamaica gets busy too. I mean, I've been to Jamaica, but not as a plant-based. But as ever as far as everything I've tasted, and I've been in multiple cities in America, and obviously I've been to some countries, St. Croix's food was fantastic, absolutely beautiful place. I was pretty sold on St. Croix, except for the fact that it's kind of expensive. So Las Terenas won me over pretty quick. You know, we spent time there, spent a few days there, and it was fantastic. And what's what's ironic is, you know, when we spent time in Punta Cana, it just wasn't us. It just wasn't us, and we knew. And going to Las Terenas and knowing that it is us, and then coming back to Bay, it wasn't us either. So it's just ironic that the place that we really didn't put much energy into, and just kind of came on a whim, is the place that we plan on uplifting our life in the United States and going to live and build a business and build a life. And that goes back to what I talked about earlier, is allowing your body, allowing your your entire stature, your entire uh energy center to be able to connect and and receive these messages. And you might be out there saying that's a little woo-woo for me, but it's it's

Is Your Job Costing You Your Health?

SPEAKER_00

not. I mean, this is we are electrical beings, you know, everything's everything is energy, right? There's an energy field out there that we tap into. And the cleaner we are from a physical standpoint and a spiritual and energetic standpoint, the more messages we can receive, you know? Um, because I don't know if we would ever receive that message if we were eating like we used to eat, or we live the lifestyle that we used to live. Like 10 years ago, the idea of moving out the country was like, no pun intended, foreign as fuck to me. Like, leaving this country, are you crazy? But now, being the version I of myself that I am today, I think it's crazy that more people aren't doing it. And I understand, like, we all have these blueprints of what we want our life to be. And a lot of those those blueprints, a lot of that that um that construct is based on a conditioned mind, is based on a conditioned society. So we make these plans based off the the system that we're in, and we never look outside that system. We never look outside the box to think, okay, well, maybe there is something different out there. Or why am I working 50 to 60, 70 years of my life to enjoy and relax for maybe 10? You know, why am I stressing myself out so much just to make a specific amount of money? For what? Things are just getting more expensive. You know, and it's not I'm not knocking anyone for trying to make money. I'm just saying, are you focused on the right things? Are you truly focused on what matters?

The Questions That Can Change Your Life

SPEAKER_00

Is that in alignment for you? And not just you, but your family. Right? Like I want to be in nature. Like Las Today Nas, I got the beach, I got mountains, I got fresh native fruit that I can grow in my backyard, and it's in abundance, and I I don't have to pay astronomical Costco prices for it. I'm gonna be around people that are more into nature and more into connecting and generosity. And why is that? Because they're not in the rat race, they're not in the stress-polluted world that we live in right now, the stress-polluted pool that we swim in right now. Stress and trying to maintain constantly for your entire life, that weighs on you. That changes the way you think, that changes the way you act, that changes who you are. Knowing that you gotta work 40 to 50 to 60 hours a week just so you can live, that weighs on you. It might not weigh on you in a month, but it's gonna weigh on you in a year and multiple years and decades. You know, a lot of people tell me the reason they eat bad is because of how busy they are, right? They just pick up and go. Okay, I get it. I've been in many situations to where I'm hungry and there might not be something quality in my grasp, and I gotta eat something that I probably wouldn't normally eat, right? Or um make the mistake of going to the grocery store when I'm hungry or extremely hungry, or make the mistake of going to a restaurant when you're extremely hungry. I mean, that might sound counterintuitive to some, but like if you're trying to eat better, you want to definitely make sure that you never get to the point or try as hard as you can not to get to the point where you are excessively hungry before you go to a restaurant because you're gonna overeat. You just you are, it's just what's going to happen, right? But when people say that they're too busy to eat because of work or whatever's going on, well, then I always talk about this. Okay, well, what's in what's more important to you? Those things that are going on, or your body, your health. Because if you work for a job that keeps you so busy that it has a massive influence on your food choices, well, then you probably want to look for another job. If your life and your body is more important than that job. See, the thing is that I think a lot of people become so attached to the lifestyle that they have ultimately, they ultimately look at the job as a reflection of themselves. Like their worth is attached to that job. Not everybody. Now, if you if you're doing your passion, you love your passion, that's a little bit different conversation. But I'm talking about the individuals that are working, they're making good money, but their worth, their personal worth is attached to that job. So they put that job before, sometimes before their marriage, uh, before, obviously before their health, before their kids. So that's why I say, well, let's get to the root of it. Like, is this job more important than your food choices? Than your health? Than your temple? Because if your temple goes away and your temple goes to shit, guess what? You can't work that job. You can't do anything. So those are the questions you have to ask yourself. Is this job for the betterment of me or the detriment of me? Because the job isn't just about the time, it's about the energy and it's about the byproduct, it's about the ramifications of working

Letting Go to Make Room for Something Better

SPEAKER_00

at that specific job. It's the same thing in a relationship. If you're in a relationship, a toxic relationship, where you fight all the time and you're not happy and you know, you guys can't agree on anything, you're going in different directions. Well, that relationship is affecting everything within your lifestyle. Everything. It's not just affecting your relationship, it's affecting your happiness, your mood, the way you parent, the way your uh you know, the your ability to be a friend, what you eat, when you eat, how you eat, everything. Your progression, your your um journey of becoming a better version of you, it's all impacted by these things. So you have to ask yourself, is that relationship worth it? Is it worth you? Is it worth your health? Tough questions, of course, but like they need to be asked. When you start answering those questions with the simple conscious choice, you know, is this choice going to be for the betterment of me or the detriment? You start asking yourself that question in everything you do, and you start to realize you're starting to answer more of those with the betterment. Guess what? Your life is going to change tremendously. It's going to change tremendously. Is it all flowers at first? Not always. You go quit your job and you put a two-week notice in. Yeah, you might have to take a step back financially for a moment, but you'll be all right. I remember reading this book. Um, man, I can't remember the name of it. I'll get that to you guys. But it talked about like worst-case scenario and how you put yourself through that mentally, because most people who are not happy with their jobs or even relationships, because this can apply as well, they think that the world is going to end, like their life's going to be over if they quit that job or leave that relationship. But one of the exercises that this particular book taught me was okay, well, we want you to think of the worst case scenario that could possibly happen if you quit that job or you left that relationship. So you write that down, you kind of put it all out there, worst case scenario. And then you put the best case scenario of what could possibly happen if you left that job, right? And the truth is the answer is somewhere in the middle. So if the worst thing that can happen for you quitting the job is you have to, you know, dip into your savings a little bit, or maybe you got to work at some, you work at a place in the meantime, or maybe you got to Uber, or maybe you got to, you know, do um uh Instacart for a little bit or something like that until you figure out what the next plan is, and maybe you get behind on some bills, or maybe you got to borrow some money, or whatever the case is in your particular situation. Like those are worst case scenarios. Most likely something's going to happen in the middle, and the possibility of the best case scenario happening. And that's from a financial aspect, right? Think about from a mental standpoint. Think of all you could do if you had the freedom, the mental freedom of not having to put so much energy into that particular job. Think of what you could create, think of what you could tap into. You take that over to relationships, and man, I know I'm going all over the place on this podcast, but like I said, I ain't been on the mic for a while and I had some things to say. But you look at this from relationships, what's the worst that could happen? Okay, he or she finds somebody else. Okay, you never find anyone else. That that's what you think. You're never gonna find someone else, and they're gonna find someone else, right? That's that's the worst case scenario. But what about the best case scenario? You get in an amazing relationship, you find the one person that you've been looking for your whole life, right? The one that you could share your love with. And in that realm of scenarios, there's so many different things that can happen when you detach yourself with something that is bringing you down. Because when that it's it's very similar, I use it as an analogy to the diet. When we eat foods that cause high digestive burden, like meat, like heavy salts, like fish, like processed foods, things that just stick in our stomach and take forever to digest, that brings our energy down, which universally throughout our system brings everything down. When you stop eating that and free yourself up, and you have all that vital energy, man, you feel like you could do anything. Same thing with the relationship. When you cut the cord and detach yourself from a person that's been bringing you down, or a relationship that's just been bogging you down or putting you in bad moods or exhausting you. Now you got all this free energy. And that that free energy changes your frequency, and then you attract what you ultimately want. That's what I mean by reducing toxicity in the EAT philosophy. Make choices for the betterment of you. They may hurt at first, but I promise you, once you get past that initial burn, you're opening yourself up to endless possibilities. Endless. You want new stuff, you want to receive more, you want to manifest more. Well, you gotta make, you have to give the universe an opportunity to do it. You have to cut and detach yourself from the things that no longer serve you. You know, if you got a car and it's filthy and you got a bunch of shit in it, you know, clean that car out. Open yourself up to possibilities. Same thing in your house and watch what you receive. You have to make the room. You have to make the room for it. Same thing with your body. You want to lose weight, you want to be healthy, you want to eliminate that autoimmune disease, you want to, you know, um get rid of those allergies, you know, get rid of those skin conditions, digestive issues. You got to lift the burden. You have to lift the burden that you put on your body every day when you eat. Hydrate yourself, eat foods that are for the betterment of you, not the detriment of you. And I get it, we're all addicted to bad foods because that's what we grew up on. I use this example a lot, right? Most Americans, specifically people in Texas, are addicted to the smell of barbecue. Like they smell barbecue, and it's just like just enamoring, like it just takes over you. Like it's just such a strong smell that pulls you in. Well, my eight-year-old daughter has never had barbecue in her life. She's been vegetarian since she was born. And that smell does absolutely nothing for her. She just says it smells like something's burning. Why? Because she's never tasted it. She's never been addicted, she never went through the process of becoming addicted to it. Right? We are addicted to all these things. We are reliant on these things to satisfy us. We need to break those addictions. And I promise you, your palate will change. Right? Your palate will change. For 35 years of my life, I was a meat eater. I never thought, I'm sorry, 36 years. I never thought there'd be a moment where I didn't eat meat. And I gave it up. I've never looked back, and I could care less about ever eating a piece of meat in my life. I'm not addicted to it. There's nothing that draws me to it. Yeah, certain smells may bring up some nostalgia and things of that nature, but it's never to a point where, man, you know what? I have to have this. Completely gone. Your palate changes, and it changes for the betterment of you because naturally and instinctively, your body does not want those foods. Your body wants natural foods. Your body wants the foods it was designed for, which are fruits and leafy greens. That's what it truly wants. Now it might want certain fruits over other fruits, that's just based on personal preference. But when you eat the fruits, the reaction from your body is completely different from when you eat those other addicting substances. So lift the burden and allow your allow your world to change. Allow the universe to provide for you. Because you are a conduit and you can attract and you can manifest whatever you want. Thank you for listening. I'm out of here. Peace, love, and light.
