I want you to ask yourself this question: When's the last time you've actually eaten a meal in peace? Like I'm talking real peace, real tranquility to where you are focused 100% on the process of eating your meal. That's not even getting into like what you're actually eating, but the process itself of sitting down and focusing on the food that is fueling you and providing you nourishment. I'm pretty sure that it's going to be a pretty, pretty tough uh scaven, like a scavenger hunt in your mind to truly find a time where you've actually experienced that. Like recently, I'm sure it's extremely difficult. And that's kind of where I'm getting at today. Eating in peace and truly understanding what mindful eating truly is. You know what I mean? Because everything that we experience on a day-to-day right now is the antithesis of it, that finding peace in general is absolutely difficult. I mean, think about it. You're just constantly going, going, going, right? Whether it's your job that's waking you up earlier in the morning, probably earlier than you want to get up, right? And then you're spending at least, at least a third of your day consumed and focused on that job. And then it's everything else that comes along with that because I talk a lot about how we are just prisoners of time. You know, specifically living in America and in this American lifestyle, this American way of life. We are prisoners of time. We submit to time and it alters so many different things in our day-to-day. You know, it alters our mood because we feel like we only have a certain amount of time. And if we want to do the things we truly enjoy, we have to somehow fit them into the schedule of just what American society has considered, has has pretty much forced us into this 24-hour block. So we're constantly fighting against time. And when things get in the way or change or alter our plans, you know, that just throws our mood completely off, man, because we just never have enough time. Because of that, the just the concept of eating in peace and mindful eating sounds outrageous. Most people will say they don't have time for that. You know? And that's what happens. Like, you know, you you you have this job that you work a third of your life doing, right? You're most of the time you're probably eating while you're working. And that is not mindful eating. That is not eating in peace. That is not for the betterment of you. You know, eating has, you know, it's become one of it's become one of two things, depending on your schedule and kind of like the stress that you have in life. It's either I have to eat because I'm I'm hungry and I don't have enough time. So I need to just go ahead and scarf something down real quick, or it's become the background of social entertainment, right? What do most people now associate entertainment with? Oh, let's go get something to eat, right? And it's not about going and focusing on the food, it's about the camaraderie and the gluttony aspect of it and the experience of trying something new and the stimulation you get from that food while communicating with other people or having drinks, um, you know, or whatever the case may be. So those are kind of the two categories we get in. And neither one of those are mindful eating. Society has kind of driven us away from the concept of mindful eating, and like the results and the ramifications of that are just incredible. Like in my book, Detox Yourself, um, which you can you can get here on this live, um talks about how society has changed the conditioning of our mind to look at health in certain ways, to where a lot of that becomes an afterthought for us. And that's what we are experiencing now. Like food and diet and and the symbiotic nature between the mind and body has completely been eradicated when it comes to you know our journey in life, unfortunately. And we need to try to get back to that, but it's just so difficult. The concept of eating in peace, the concept of mindful eating is just extremely difficult right now. That's why I started this off by asking when's the last time you actually ate in peace and actually sat down and was able to focus on the meal that you were eating. It's very difficult. And that's like I said, it's not even talking about the food choices you're making, right? In a perfect world, at least from a mindful eating perspective, like you would take that hour break you get at work for your lunch per se, you'd go sit in a quiet area, you would have your meal, no distractions, just you and your meal, and you'd be able to focus on it and truly understand what is happening during that eating process. You might be asking, like, why is this important? Why is it important to have my to eat mindfully, to eat in peace? Well, there's a lot of things that go along with it. Number one, like digestion is something that we just have not have not truly understand. Uh, we still have not understood the absolute ramifications of healthy and quality digestion and what that does for our life. Like we're focused on all these other things, right? All these external factors that have impacts on our life. When digestion might have the biggest impact on your life. Digestion itself is the highest burden, the biggest burden, the biggest energy drain you deal with in life. It's not the in-laws that drive you crazy, it ain't your spouse that drives you crazy, it ain't your job, right? Those things, look, they contribute. But digestion is your biggest energy drain. So that's where mindful eating truly comes into play. Truly comes into play. When you think about eating, when the thought comes like into your head, oh, I'm I'm feeling a little hungry. I need to eat something, your body begins the digestive process. It starts to produce the enzymes to actually prepare for you to consume food and digest. The thought of it, that's the power that you possess. But when you're not eating mindfully, where you're eating on the run, or you're eating while you're working, or you're eating in front of the television, or eating while you're talking to other people, or eating while you're scrolling on your phone. You might be eating while you're watching this live. All those, you know, all those different aspects. You might be eating while you listen to this pod, right? Those take that energy that takes that energy away from the food. You know, quantum physics talks talks a lot about the observer effect and how powerful our awareness is and how we can manipulate and ultimately change reality by our focus and our energy. Well, it's the same concept with eating food. When we're focused on what we're eating, we're in a tranquil, a peaceful environment, and we're understanding the relationship with our body and the fuel that we're going to put in our body. That is going to produce an optimal result. We're going to get the most energy out of that food that we possibly could when we are mindful while eating and we're focused on it. That entire process, the entire eating and digestion and elimination process is all going to be optimal for that specific situation when we are eating mindfully. But how the fuck do we do that? How do we do that when there's so many things distracting us? And eating has become an afterthought unless it's the, like I talked about before, the background focus of some type of entertainment or social event. Like food has become the supporting actor. And we need it to be the star. Well, I challenge that a little bit because while while there are there are a handful of or a small percentage of people that live to eat, I think the eating aspect has just become entertainment for so many different people. I mean, that's why it's so hard for people to shift and change their diets because of the stimulation. I think, in as far as for most people, the thought process of making better food choices, eating more salads, eating more fruits, uh, eating more raw foods makes sense to most people. But actually going through and and acclimating that to their day-to-day becomes difficult because they're losing the stimulation, the entertaining aspect of it. I mean, why why do why do people enjoy going and spending hundreds of dollars on dinner? It's because of the stimulation. So what is the stimulation? The stimulation is eating foods that provide a stimulus effect to our body. And that the that stimulus effect is from chefs and and you know cooks in restaurants adding stimulating elements to the food. Like if you went to a restaurant, for those of you who eat steak, if you go and you and you go order a steak and it's just a piece of beef, there's no salt, there's no butter, there's no um seasonings, it's just a straight-up steak cooked. That's that ain't gonna be no good. You're not gonna return to that restaurant. You're not gonna spend countless amounts of money on that steak, and that goes for all the foods that go along with it, right? That's not the stimulating effect. It's not the steak, it's what that steak is dressed up to be. That's the stimulating effect. Those seasonings, all those extra things are what ultimately addict you to that restaurant. It's that feeling that you get when you're stimulated by those things. And obviously, you're not gonna eat that steak raw. Well, something I can't say nobody. Some people do, you know, more power to, you know. Actually, from an electromagnetic standpoint, eating a raw piece of steak is actually better for you from an energy efficient standpoint. It's a whole nother conversation. The point is, is that since we've become so stimulated by eating, we become addicted to that feeling, it makes it very difficult for us to change our diet to eat better foods and ultimately to be more mindful when we eat. Because we want, like when we we get that stimulation, we want to share it with others. That's why, you know, like I said, when you meet up or there's some type of social event, there's always food involved. And most of the time, unhealthy food involved, not to mention unhealthy drinks, right? More toxicity, right? But back to being mindful, like we have to look at our lives and start to prioritize what's truly better for us, for the betterment of us, you know. And I talk a lot about that in detox yourself as well. Um, the conscious choice of making choices in your life that are for the betterment of you and not for the detriment of you. And when you start thinking about that, that question pops into your head through all these choices, you'll, you know, just be more aware and you'll start making better choices because of that. You know, if your job is driving you crazy and it's not allowing you to eat the right foods and it's causing you to go down a certain path, well, that's the root of the issue. It's no different than when we talk about disease. If you're dealing with all these different symptoms, yeah, you can address the symptoms all you want, but until you get to the core root of the issues, those symptoms are going to keep coming no matter what you do. So if you're working for a job that's stressing you out, that's causing issues with your relationship, that is causing you financial issues, that is kind of pushing you to eat worse, you can address those issues individually, but it's not going to change anything because the core root of the issue is the job. So we are living our lives in a we're living our lives from the scope of external things dictating our journey. And we can't do that. So it's very hard to eat mindful when you have all these things going on. You know, you might eat, you know, the average person eats three times a day, right? Right? Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Let's just keep it as simple, let's keep it as basic as possible, right? Breakfast for the average person is usually done on the run, right? They're gonna eat something real quick before they have to go to work, or they have to log on to work, or they have to go to school, whatever, you know, or they have to take the kids to school or something like that. It's always a quick in a rush type of situation, right? Your lunch is usually something that happens, you know, in a rush as well, but in a different type of rush, like, oh, you know what? I'm I I've been working, I've been, I've been doing stuff. You know what? I need to, I need to stop and I need to eat something real quick. That's what lunch has become. And then dinner, which I would say is probably the closest thing to getting mindful, is usually done like, you know, for the average person in a family setting where there's conversation happening and there's there's food being eaten. And a lot of people pray before they eat, which is fantastic, or meditate or something like that, or give some type of thanks and blessing. That is very mindful in itself for sure. But there's usually something else going on, right? I mean, there's the conversation of the family, right? And the foods being eaten in the background, right? It's not really mindful eating. It's once again, it's playing the supporting actor role. But the reason for that, and I'm sticking on dinner right now, the reason for that is because once again, we're prisoners of time. So dinner becomes the only time where we can catch up with how everybody's doing with their day. So it's like you have to weigh out what's more important eating mindfully right now or spending time with my family. Because this might be the only 45 minutes to an hour that I actually get to talk with my family, that I get to actually see how everybody's day is going or share some of my, you know, frustrations. You know, it becomes therapy in a way, it's it's a very communal thing. And that's a tough thing to weigh out. So I'm not I'm not here saying that, you know what, you should pick mindful eating over that um camaraderie with your family. What I'm saying is get to the root of the issue. Why is this the only opportunity we get to be communal with our family? You feel what I'm saying here? Because eating has become something that happens in the background. So you have to do an audit on your life and truly look at your life and and and and decipher why why do I have to do, why do I have to eat in a rush? Why do I only get a certain amount of time to spend with my family and see how they're doing and see what's going on with their life? Right? Why are so many other things put in place that separates me from doing the things I truly enjoy and love? Once you start doing that and you start rearranging your life the way you want it to be, then you'll truly be able to feel happiness, you'll truly be able to live in peace and ultimately eat in peace. Because I'll go back to breakfast and the lie that's been told to us that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which you know was summoned up by a bunch of corporations who wanted to sell you Pop-Tarts and cereal and breakfast bars and oatmeal and a bunch of other shit that's just not healthy for you. Um, but when we're talking about eating mindfully, like that is your first opportunity to truly appreciate the fuel that's going into your body because eating is not about the calories that you're getting, it's not even as much about the nutrients that you're getting, it's about the energy that you're getting. And energy is returned on the energy invested. So if you're not giving the energy to your food, the food is not going to give the energy back to you. So taking the time to appreciate the entire process of consuming food and what that food actually does for you is going to give you the best results because you need food. You don't need food as much as you think you do, as far as the amount we eat, but you need food. And that food is energy, electromagnetic energy. When I talk about energy efficiency and my EAT philosophy, right? And I get very deep into that with the book, and I'm actually currently writing another book that's even going to go deeper into it. That's going to be, you know, more health related than detoxic and mindset related. I talk about how energy efficiency is so imperative, important. If you take anything away from what I share and you know what my philosophies and my coaching. And things of that nature. It's energy efficiency. And it's that simple. And it's the most basic of basic things. It's your body's profit and loss system. You want to eat foods with high amounts of electricity, high amounts of electromagnetic energy that cause the least amount of digestive burden. I told you earlier that digestion is the heaviest energy drain on our bodies on a day-to-day. So when we eat, we want to make sure we eat foods that are very, very low, that provide very, very low digestive burden. Because we want that surplus of energy, that net profit of energy, because we are a self-healing organism. And our body utilizes that vital energy to conduct the processes of the day-to-day, to heal tissue, to heal organs, to heal our mind, to heal our spirit, it's all energetic. So when we're eating mindfully, when that first meal of the day comes, and you know, whatever that meal is, and we can get to what those meals should be in a little bit. But when we're talking about that meal and we're looking at that meal, and we're either, you know, if we're cutting up that meal or we're peeling something for that meal, or we're just gathering the contents of that meal, our focus needs to be on that meal, that energy, that that symbiotic nature that connects us to nature, and how nature is going to fulfill us and fulfill our need for vital energy. And when we're eating, to almost be meditating in connection with that food. So when we bite it, and then it goes down to our down our GI tract and ultimately goes through the digestion and metabolic process and then goes to the disbursement of nutrients to ourselves, and then ultimately gets eliminated. All that entire process, which is an energetic process, the more focused and mindfulness we put on that process, the more seamless that process will be, the more advantageous that process will be, and it will ultimately be for the betterment of us. But if we're eating breakfast on the run, we're eating a Pop-Tart on the way to school, or eating, you know, our food or you know, our smoothie or whatever the case it may be, driving to work, and we're not even thinking about that food, then that entire process, you know, becomes an afterthought and energy return on energy invested. Now our digestion's off. Now we got heartburn. Now we have stomach issues because we are not eating mindfully. Anything you do, if you do it in peace and in tranquility, is going to be better. I mean, imagine trying to have a deep, serious conversation with somebody in the middle of a concert or a ball game or you know, with music blaring in the background, what we would call chaos. It's very difficult, right? It's very difficult because you can't you can't focus, you're not able to give your full attention, everybody's not aware of everything. It's the same thing with eating. So if you're trying to eat, you know, while you're watching the the latest episode of real housewives of fucking Salt Lake City or whatever the fuck they are. Like, you're not focused on that food. That food's going in, your body's not prepared for it, it's working extra hard, you're not getting the best results out of it. And you're gonna deal with the ramifications of it. And think about how we do this every single day of our lives for multiple meals a day. I get, I get it. I mean, it's hard enough for me to coach and get people to meditate once a day for five to ten minutes because they say they don't have enough time. But it gets back to the core root of the issue. Why are we so why are we prisoners of time? We have to get to that foundation piece, to the root. We should never feel that we don't have enough time to eat mindfully, to eat in peace. Because I guarantee you this, and you could test this out. Let me know if I'm crazy or if I'm talking about something here. When you eat mindfully and you eat in peace, and there's a tranquility during the eating process, the food tastes a lot better. I mean, when's the last time you took a bite of something and focused specifically on that bite and just appreciated the taste of whatever you're consuming? I know some people do it, they'll go to a restaurant, I'll bring up the steak analogy again. They'll get a steak, they'll take that first cut, they'll take a bite of it, and it's like the outside world doesn't matter for that, you know, 10 seconds or whatever the case may be. You know what I'm saying? That's how it should be. That's the type of energy you should put in eating every day. Don't make eating a transactional process, make it a spiritual process, make it an energetic process. The food will taste better, your digestion will be much better. Your energy afterwards will be much better. Now, we can get back into, now we can get into the food aspect of it, because that's a big part too. The food aspect of it, like what you're actually eating, plays plays a crucial role in all this as well. Right? Eating mindfully, step one. Step two, well, what are we eating in the first place? And that goes back to the conscious choice is what I'm eating for the betterment of me or the detriment of me, right? When we're eating foods that are overstimulating, when we're eating foods that are dehydrating, when we're eating foods that are acid forming, you can eat mindfully, you'll get the best out of that specific food, but those foods are not doing, they're not built and they're not designed for you. So the rest of the process is going to get jacked up, and the ramifications of that are, you know, disease forming at the end of the day. So it goes back to the energy efficiency. You want to eat foods, high electricity, high electromagnetic energy, low digestive burden. That means that the majority of your foods you want to be hydrating fruits, veggie fruits, leafy greens. Those things are going to bring you electricity. You combine that with mindful eating, and you will understand the power that you have as a human. You will be thriving. Most people get stuck, wonder why they're they're they just feel off or they're dealing with mental fog and um you know stress and depression and anxiety and you know, physical ailments and can't lose weight, all these different things. Well, it's a combination of stuff, but it all starts with what you do more than you do anything else, and that is eat. So you start adding electricity to your life, high energy, low digestive burden, huge surplus of vital energy. And watch how amazing your body works and starts to rebalance you, recalibrate you. So the things that you used to worry about, you don't really worry about them as much anymore. And the things that used to stress you out, and don't really phase you as much anymore. Things that used to irritate you, you know what, not so bad. The, you know, the fact that you've you've gone years without being able to lose weight, all of a sudden you start shedding weight. Why? Because you're introducing hydration. And most people who are gaining weight or unable to lose weight have just accumulated so much waste in a dehydrated body that they're not able to release it. And the hydration starts flowing, and you start losing weight. All these different, all these different concepts just based on the choices that you're making and the energy you're putting into the process of eating. Peace should be the goal for everybody. And I feel confident speaking for everybody. I feel confident speaking for you. Peace should be the goal in everything. If whatever you're doing in life is not giving you peace, then it's time to look at what you're doing. If the job, if you're not peaceful at peace with your job, it's time to start looking at that job. There's millions of jobs out there. You know, depending on where you live, you know, pretty much anywhere you can build something. If you're passionate about something, put your energy towards it and watch what happens. Look, I I left an industry that I was in for what, 16 years or 15 years. It was 15, 16, something like that. A particular employer that I was it with for about eight years. Six-figure job, you know, felt like I was at the top of my game, all those things. But you know what? It didn't align. It didn't align with me. Um I wasn't passionate about it. I could do it. But it also made me a huge prisoner of time. Like it was very hard for me to eat mindfully. It was very hard for me to do the things I love to do, which is this, which is to coach, which is to write books, which is to create content, um, and help help other people and share my light. It was very difficult to do that when I had that job. I was not at peace. I was constantly a prisoner of time. And it would affect my moods, you know, if something came and like, you know, if something was rescheduled or something became like a rush at work or something like that. And it would just completely throw my my my mood off, my attitude, and it affected my personal life. And to me, that's not worth it. I don't care how much you're gonna pay me. It's not worth it. And it's not in alignment with who I am. I want to be at peace. So I got, I went to the I found the root, the foundation issue of that, and I cut it out. Gone. Guess what? Those symptoms, they don't exist anymore. Now, people, and you might be afraid to make a move like that because your fear of financial security. I get that. But you have to ask yourself this why do you have a fear of financial security? Well, it's because the society we live in. We live in a country, you know, those who live in America, everybody outside, you know, I can't necessarily speak for, but in America, we live in a culture and a society that has created a standard of living that is pretty costly and have justified it and ultimately condition everyone to feel like this is the only place that you can live. But are you really living? If you're constantly working your ass off for a job that you don't even really care for, you're definitely not at peace with for the majority of your life, for the majority of your day, or at least a third of your day, if you're not counting sleep, then definitely a majority of your day. Just to maintain, just to stay afloat while cost of living continues to go up while wages are not going up. Is that living at peace? Definitely not. But that fear that there's nothing you can do, you have to do this, you have to live this way, or you're just you're gonna be homeless, or you know, you're just not going to survive. That fear is what is stopping you from following your dreams and manifesting the life that you truly want. There are plenty of places you can live outside America. You know, when I went, when me and my wife started on our journey of trying to figure out where we were going to move ultimately, and we saw that, man, there are places that you can live and live a great life, an amazing life outside of America. But the thing is, we've just been conditioned and have this uh entitlement that this is the only place you can live. No. And these decisions, which are big, don't get me wrong, these are major disar life decisions, but they're not, it's not something that is um something you can't you can't reverse. Like you can go live in Mexico, and if you don't like it, guess what? You can move back. Or you can move to the Caribbean, or you can move to South America, you know, you can move. But that fear stops us from doing things like that. The fact that it seems difficult to eat in peace, and I because I know society isn't doing it, right? I'd be lying to you if I said I'd do it 100% of the time. But I try to. I keep it, I keep it active in my mind to make sure that I'm going to appreciate these meals. It's important. It's imperative. Because you want, like, your world is a reflection of you. It is a mirror of you. So if you are internally in chaos, guess what your world's gonna be? In chaos. But if you are internally in peace and harmony, guess what your world's gonna be? In peace and harmony. As within, so without. That's nature law right there. So if you're in a relationship with somebody and they're causing you stress, they're holding you back. They're not for the betterment of you, they're not for the growth of you. You got some some difficult conversations you need to have. Because how are you supposed to live in peace and harmony and be able to eat mindfully and be able to live mindfully if the person you're with is not in alignment with that, is pulling you the other direction. You have the symptoms, you can go to therapy all you want, you guys can talk as much as you want, you can watch as many videos together as you want. If you're going in different directions, and what you want is peace and harmony, and the other individual does not, or they don't understand that, or they're holding you back from that, well, then you gotta get to the root of the issue. That's part of the conscious choice. You know, it sucks sometimes because you gotta you gotta make, you know, decisions that have emotional impact, but ultimately once you start going down the path of your your true destiny and what you want to manifest in the world you truly want, like you start to mend those wounds. Remember, just like your body is self-healing, like your entire entire world is self-healing. So you're gonna heal from that and you're gonna move forward. And that peace and that harmony and the and uh becoming the the best version of you is gonna overcome any of the tribulations you go through on the way to getting getting to that destination. But you gotta do it. You know, I go back, I'll go back to my job situation. I for years I had thought about it and I had talked about it, and I had tried to look at it logically from a left brain perspective. And the one thing I kept coming with when I looked at it logically, because I'm a numbers person, right? And it would all it would always be well, once I am able to earn as much money or at least close to as much money from my passion adventures, then that's the time when I would leave the corporate gig. But what I failed to realize was energy return on energy invested. There was absolutely no way I was going to earn what I needed to earn to compensate for the corporate gig if I wasn't putting all my energy into it, if my energy wasn't allocated towards it, if I didn't get rid of the root of the issue. And that's where those tough decisions have to come into play. Are you willing to bet on yourself? And the root of that, you know, is going to go back to self-worth, self-confidence, self-love. And when you love yourself and you're confident in yourself and you know your worth and your value, then decisions like that become much easier. Because it's not always a left-brain decision, it's not always a what's on paper decision. But it's always an energetic decision. And once you realize that, then some of these decisions become a lot easier. And yeah, there's growing pains and there's obstacles and all those different things. But in the end, when you're able to allocate your energy to anything, it's always gonna end up for the betterment of you, especially if it's something you believe in and you're passionate about, which gives back to the food, right? Eating in peace, eating mindfully. You got to put that energy in that food, in the entirety, the entire concept of eating, in the entire concept of diet and lifestyle. We put more energy into what we're gonna watch or what show we're gonna binge, or what we're gonna do this weekend, or what's the next vacation we're gonna take, or where we're gonna, what restaurant we're gonna eat at next. We put more energy in that than we do in our diet and our lifestyle. Eating while watching TV, eating while scrolling on your phone. I mean, think about the energetic disconnect that that you are creating in that process. Munching on something, just to, you're look very transactional. You're you're trying to you're trying to fulfill what you feel is the need through hunger while scrolling on a phone and seeing what's going on in other people's life. Energetically, what do you think that is causing? Do you think you're going to get the most out of that meal energetically? Physically, you might, but it's going to cause distress the entire time. You might not feel it initially, but that stuff accumulates. And if you're doing that all the time, the results are just destruction. I mean, just is what it is. Eating is something that should be sacred. Not just the process, but the choices and the foods as well. Well, right? It should be sacred. But we take it for granted. We take eating for granted. People talk about, man, you take your spouse for granted, which happens a lot. But we take our relationship with food for granted much more. Much more. And it's time for us to realize and appreciate all that the food is doing for us. And the food that nature provides, because it that's the the that's the extra layer of it. And that's when it gets to the choices. The food, the food choices that you're making, you are taking nature for granted if you are not eating the majority of your foods from nature, if not all your foods from nature. You're taking nature for granted. And thinking that technological advances and and um uh these these corporate uh moguls who are manipulating food and creating these concoctions of foreign chemistry and chemical compositions that are imitating food. Right? You're basically slapping nature in the face because nature is providing for you every single day. Think about the energetic aspect of that. Nature is providing for you and the betterment of you, and the fuel for you, and the fuel for your body every single day, and you're slapping them in the face by eating Pop-Tarts or eating craft macaroni and cheese every day. You're also slapping nature in the face by eating what's not designed for you, by eating cheese, by eating steaks, by contributing to the slaughter of other aspects of nature for what you perceive as the betterment of you when it's not. And that's how nature works, because ultimately, by consuming things that are not designed for you, it's going to ultimately destroy you internally and energetically. So that's where being mindful in all aspects of this truly comes into place. We have to stop taking nature for granted. Look, we've been conditioned, we've been born into it. We, you know, every time we pick up our phone or turn on the TV or hear something or see something, it's telling us different information. It's telling us to get as far away from nature as we possibly can. That technology is better than nature, has advanced past nature. But you can never outsmart nature. Don't matter what you do, nature will continue to be. You can try everything you want, nature will always be, and we have to stop taking nature for granted. When I talk about living in alignment, nature is such a huge piece of that because we are supposed to be in nature. Now, I'm not saying for you to sell your house and live outside or live in the forest or live in the jungle. What I'm saying is that there's a reason we feel better when we're outside. There's a reason we like to be in the mountains, there's a reason we like to hike, there's a reason we feel good when we're at the beach. I mean, you try to break things down, right? What's the difference between being at the beach and going outside in your backyard at the pool? Both are outside, both um, both provide you water. Not saying, you know, going outside to the pool is fun. Don't get me wrong, it's a great time. But there's a different energetic feel when you're at the beach because you're in nature. It is natural. There's a grounding effect to it, there's a spiritual effect to it. You go outside and you go swimming, it feels good. You know, it's hot outside, you know, the cool water feels good. Still has some natural elements involved, but it's different. We have to start appreciating that. The more we appreciate that, the better we will feel, the better we'll become, and the closer to our best version we'll get. Like we all want to be best version, we all want to be the best version of ourselves, right? That's that's a given. I think we try to do that every day. At least most of us do. Some of us don't believe that's possible, and that goes back to the self-self-worth and self-love, but I guarantee you this you get out of nature more, you will connect with yourself a lot better. So, in order to eat mindfully, in order, the in order to eat in peace, we have to get back to our roots, get back to nature, stop taking nature for granted. Because it's imperative. I've viewed this, you I've used this you know, comparison before, but I just think it's so powerful because we spend so much of our energy in so many other places besides the foods that we eat. I mean, if we're buying a house, think of all the time and effort and energy you spend in trying to find the best neighborhood, cost of living, the best uh environment, the best schools, the best resale value, right? Because it's an investment for you, a financial investment for you. Right? Or if you're trying to buy a new car, same things. You know, you what's the best car? What's the safest car? You know, what's got the best return? What's what's gonna, you know, not depreciate the fastest? What's gonna last the longest? What's gonna cost me the most in maintenance down the line? All these different elements you do all you put all this time, energy, and effort into. But when it comes to your health, when it comes to the the foods that you put in your body every day or the the process of eating those foods, you don't care. You just eat whatever, whatever tastes good. Whatever's cheapest, whatever is most cost effective. And obviously, cost and the financial aspect, especially living in this country, is something that dictates a lot of our choices, and it dictates the choices and what house we buy and dictates the choice of what car we get. But when we're talking about something that is so imperative to our health, the most valuable thing that we have, our body. That's the most valuable possession you have, is your body. This physical body in this particular incarnation. It's the most valuable thing you have, but you'll put the least valuable elements into it, the least valuable fuel. If you bought a Bugatti, would you put shitty fuel in it? You know, regular 85 grade or 87 grade unleaded from you know, racetrack or something, probably watered down, shitty ass fuel, shitty ass oil, shitty ass maintenance. Would you do that? Probably not, because you probably spent six figures on that vehicle. You treat it as such. Your body's worth more than that. Your body like is priceless. So next time you go to the grocery store, think about that. And don't tell me that eating fruits is expensive. Like, bananas are the most cost-effective food on the planet. Hundred, you know, hundred plus calories each. You get a bundle for what? Dollar something a pound? Something like that. Or I should say not a bundle, but just they're a dollar something a pound. Like bananas are extremely cost effective. There's plenty of fruits that are and and veggie fruits that are cost effective and fantastic for you. Yeah, you might be able to get more bags of Cheez Its, you know, per calorie than you can a fruit. But look what that shit's doing to you. Is it worth it? Look, that cheap ass gas is much less, much less expensive than the good stuff, and the maintenance is much less all that, but you're gonna fuck your Bugatti up. You don't want to do that. We have to start looking at our bodies for their true value. They're priceless. You are priceless. And I think people get confused because they'll see somebody, you know, I use my grandfather, for instance, my grandfather on my mother's side, lived to 99, almost made 100. His diet was not good. He drank a lot of alcohol. And he made it to 99. So someone might see that and say, well, look, you know, my family member or this person, look, they live all the way to 99 and they ate like shit. So why is diet so important? There's layers to this, man. His genetics might be different than your genetics. And I'll tell you something about my grandfather that is uh a big piece of it. He lived in peace. He did what he loved. That man was a musician and never let anybody deter his path. It's what he did. His marriage struggled because of it. His relationship with his children struggled because of it. But he put himself first, did what he loved every night, and even though his diet wasn't the greatest, and even though he did drink a lot of alcohol, he still made it to 99. Shit, if his diet was good, who knows how long he would have lived. You look at some of the blue zones across the world, there's people living to 120, 115. You look at the Hanzas and how you know their their village and how they live to a 120 like like as nothing. And don't deal with the diseases and stuff that we deal with here in America. Because they have purpose, they have a nature-based diet, and they're passionate about what they do. They don't have the stresses and the ills and the and the shitty food that we're consuming here in America. So, yeah, my grandfather lived until 99. The main thing is to look at things in a vacuum. Look at things from your perspective. You want to be the best version of you. You want to be able to live as long as you possibly can. So that window might be from 60 to 96, depending on some of the choices that you make. And I'm pretty sure you'd rather get closer to 96 than 60. Because it all matters. Every piece of it. But the main stay here, the main um point here is to eat peacefully, eat mindfully, because it's something that you do that is imperative, and you do it more than anything else you do. And if there are reasons that you cannot do that, and you're taking the eating process for granted, and you're taking nature for granted, you got to get to the root of the issue and figure out what that is. Because there's no reason you shouldn't be able to eat in peace. And I say, you know, obviously, with how chaotic the average life is right now, I say to start with one meal a day. Can you eat mindfully or eat peacefully one time a day, where you're consciously thinking about what I'm eating, and then when you do eat that, to be able to give 100% of your attention to eating, to that food, to that symbiosis between you and the food and what it's giving to you and what you're giving to it ultimately. Because fruit, I use fruit, you know, obviously, because I live a fruit-based diet, and it is the most energy efficient food on the planet and the most healthy thing for you to eat. The fruit is the expression of the plant or the tree. Like the fruit is ultimately the expression of it. Think of the energetic aspect of that. It goes through all the elements of nature to be expressed and provided for you, and it's perfectly designed for you. Appreciate that. Like that is beautiful. That is amazing when you truly think about it. And if you give the fruit that energy when you eat it, that fruit's gonna give you everything it possibly can. That's just nature, that's just the way it works, that's quantum physics, that's that's all those things put together. That's the ether. So that's my that's what I want you, that's what I want to leave you with. Try and be mindful and eat peacefully for one meal a day and then build from that. And if there's things stopping you from doing that, let's get to the root of the issue and start figuring out man, what do I need to detox from my life so I can truly live in peace and live in harmony? Peace and love.
